St. Augustine Parish offers Religious Education classes for grades Kindergarten through High School

Sunday mornings 9:15am-10:15am (Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, JrHigh:7th/8th grade and Sr. High:9th -12th)

Wednesday evening 6:00pm -7:00pm (3rd/4th grade and 5th/6th grade)

Registration fee: $20 up to a family maximum of $60. ($50 for 2nd grade and Confirmation prgrams-see below). If the fees pose afinancial hardship please contact Fr. Joseph or the DRE and the fee will be reduced or waived.

Sacraments

Two years of formal religious education instruction (including sacramental year) are generally required directly prior to the reception of a sacrament. Regular class and Mass attendance is expected.

A child who has received religious education as part of an overall home school program must have followed a curriculum text that is currently listed on the Conformity List approved by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (available from DRE). During the sacramental year a home schooled child must be enrolled in a parish process of preparation for the reception of First Holy Communion or Confirmation in which children from the Catholic schools, home schools, and the Parish School of Religious Educatioin are united within their parish community.
