St. Augustine Reopening
Bishop will continue to dispense all Catholics in the Diocese of Knoxville from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass. Those who are not comfortable attending Mass in person are encouraged to continue to participate in one of the many livestreamed Masses our parishes offer and make a "spiritual communion."
The 10:30 am Mass at St. Augustine will continue to be livestreamed on our Facebook page.
Who can attend:
Those who have not traveled out of the country,
Individuals who have not recently had a fever or been exposed to someone with Covid-19.
Sunday Mass in Sanctuary

Saturday Outdoor Mass
There will be an option to stay in your car or to spread out in the grass.
Every Saturday 5:30 pm Mass will be outdoors.
If the weather does not allow for outdoor service, the 5:30 Mass will be canceled.
If the weather is questionable, or the grass will be too wet/muddy we will notify parishioners on our webpage that Mass will be canceled. We will make a decision and post a notification no later than 4 p.m. on Saturday.
If the Mass is canceled there will be no indoor Saturday Mass. The next available options will be the two Sunday services: 8:15 am & 10:30 am.
Enter the large parking lot from the Wilson Avenue entrance. Please arrive early - latecomers driving into the parking lot will be a distraction during Mass.
Individuals will be stationed to direct traffic into the parking lot and will also collect any offering envelopes at this time. There will be no offering collected during the outdoor Mass.
Masks will be optional at the outdoor Mass.
Those who choose to remain in their cars will be directed to park facing the grass area.
Lawn Chair Attendees:
Those who will be getting out of their cars will be directed to park at the back of the parking lot (dumpster side).
Bring your own folding chair or picnic blanket.
Family groupings should seat themselves at least 6 feet apart in the grassy area.
Children are to remain in their family's 6 foot area and are not to wander around. The playground will be closed.
After Mass, please do not congregate and respect the 6 foot social distancing directive as your family packs up and returns to your vehicle.
