Adoration

Adoration is the first attitude of man acknowledging that he is a creature before his Creator. It exalts the greatness of the Lord who made us and the almighty power of the Savior who sets us free from evil. Adoration is homage of the spirit to the "King of Glory," respectful silence in the presence of the "ever greater" God. Adoration of the thrice-holy and sovereign God of love blends with humility and gives assurance to our supplications. --Catechism of the Catholic Church, no. 2628

What is Adoration?
Eucharistic Adoration is the adoration of Jesus Christ present in the Holy Eucharist. All are invited to come to the chapel during the scheduled times and sit for a few minutes or an hour or more as the Blessed Sacrament is exposed. The time you spend in Adoration is up to you.
What do you do during Adoration?
You can have some time alone with Jesus to recite your favorite prayers, read the bible, contemplate acts of faith, pray a rosary or do whatever type of prayerful devotion that suits you before Our Lord. You can just sit and say nothing simply keeping Him company, just as you would do with a dear friend.
Do I have to sign up first?
You are welcome to show up during Adoration at any time. We encourage you to consider making a commitment to sign up for a regular Adoration time. Because we must never let the Blessed Sacrament unattended, we need to be sure someone will be present in the chapel during each hour of Adoration.
