Our mission is to focus on Spirituality, Leadership and Service for our parish.
ALL women at St. Augustine are considered a part of the Women of St. Augustine! There are no meetings or dues. We rely on a strong volunteer base when the need arises. As Women of St. Augustine, we make a big impact on our parish by initiating spiritual opportunities, providing service and leadership, and concentrating on our own needs and the needs of our parish. Traditionally, we host a holy Rosary in October in the Rosary Garden; offer a wreath-making workshop or host a holiday dinner during Advent. In 2014, we hosted an Alms-giving Weekend during Lent where parishioners had an opportunity to give their time or treasure to parish ministries. The Women of St. Augustine spear-head Martha and Mary, a ministry dedicated to serving families through funeral receptions. We also provide hospitality, such as providing dinners for visiting priests during reconciliation Masses. As Women of St. Augustine, we have the opportunity to participate in deanery Council of Catholic Women (CCW) events as well as invite women from parishes within our deanery to St. Augustine events. |
