33 Days to Morning Glory Introduction

4/8/2020

This preparation for consecration is similar to Mary's heart pondering. There are no additional hours you need to set aside for pondering, because pondering can be done throughout the day. The readings simply fill and prepare our heart because of your prayerful reading of them. What time of day will you set aside for this reading?

What goals do you have for this retreat that you would like to share with the group?

My goal for the reading is to get up early and begin my day with the 33 Days reading for the day, and work on the questions in the workbook. That being said, with my Teresa home from school, what used to be rising at 6:15 has deteriorated to 7:30 or even 8:00. And I've just now finished today's reading--it's about quarter to 2 in the afternoon!
My goal for this retreat is to once more stir into flame the love and devotion I have for Mamma Mary. I find it so easy to be distracted by everyday life, and I am hoping to renew a determination to pray constantly, by the pondering prayers, to remember that Jesus and Mary are with me throughout the day, whether I am on the phone with adult children or doing dishes or laundry or cooking dinner or doing a craft with Teresa. And I can just chat with them, anytime and always.

I would like to have a deeper understanding of Mary as our intercession.

James and I plan to set aside time in the evening to do the readings after the kids are sleeping. My goal is to grow closer to the Trinity through consecration to Mary through acts and pondering throughout the entire day, rather than only set times during the day. And to complete the program with a heart on fire with passion!
